We are starting a new tournament for all the club members, first games to be played very soon.

Welcome to GMIT Chess club!

GMIT Chess club was established in Autumn 2015 by fans of chess attending Galway Mayo Institute of Technology.
It caters for all levels of chess players and we welcome fellow students and staff of GMIT to join any time, however the club is opened for the wide public of Castlebar town and Mayo county who would like to improve their game of chess or learn how to play it.
